More than a residence

A place to truly feel like home

Discover the heart behind our care and why families trust us to support their loved ones.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a peaceful, home environment where older adults receive the kind of care we’d want for our own family.

We keep things small and personal with just three residents in private apartments, so every individual is known, supported, and treated with patience and kindness.

We’re here to give families peace of mind, and to give seniors a space that isn’t a facility, but a home.

Our Story

Compassionate, experienced, and family-focused

Willow Nest was born from something deeply personal. As a husband-and-wife team with aging parents and family, including one uncle currently in hospice with dementia, we’ve seen the reality of institutional care. We watched exhausted, overworked nurses cycle in and out of his room, and it broke our hearts. That experience lit a fire in us to do better.

At the same time, our founder was working closely with families as a licensed insurance professional for both Texas and California. Through that work, he helped people understand what Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance benefits actually cover - and just as often, what they don’t.

We saw how many families believed long-term care would be handled, only to discover during a crisis that options were limited and decisions had to be made quickly and under stress.

That combination of personal experience and seeing families struggle to find appropriate care revealed a growing gap: many older adults don’t need a large facility, but they also can’t safely remain completely alone at home. Families were left searching for something smaller, calmer, and more personal….but couldn’t find it.

We created Willow Nest as a warm, personal alternative to traditional facilities. We know most aging adults don’t want to feel like they’re being “put in a home.” That’s why our space is intentionally designed to feel like it’s truly their home. When families move their loved one into Willow Nest, it doesn’t feel like a facility. It feels like Mom is simply moving into a beautiful new place, with the right support already built in.

With just three residents at a time, we’re able to offer privacy, personalized attention, and real connection. Our mission is to create a home where older adults are respected, comfortable, and truly cared for like family.
